Management and Business Academy

Our vision is to create a prestigious and internationally recognised community where we can inspire, recognise and support researchers who contribute to practice by creating new theoretical frameworks. The Management and Business Academy supports the advancement of theory and practice in Organisational Studies and the Social Sciences. We welcome and encourage interdisciplinary researchers, scientists and research students from universities all around world to present their current research activities, and hence to foster research relations between universities and industry. This institute takes a lead in facilitating international collaboration, providing an independent and authoritative source of advice, and contributing to academic debate and research.

Dr Kula

Dr.Kula works as a full-time associate professor and department chair at the Department of Business Administration at Erzurum Technical University, Türkiye. Dr. Kula holds an MAA Degree from University of the Incarnate Word, San Antonio, TX, USA and a PhD in Management and Organization from Atatürk University, Türkiye. He completed his PhD thesis on competitive intelligence in the telecommunications and automotive industries on a national scale.

He currently conducts academic studies in the fields of competition in SMEs; competition management and innovation management. İlvaten has been the executive of four different European Union Erasmus+ Key Action 2 projects in the fields of migration management, STEAM education and emergency and disaster management.

Dr. Keivan Amirbagheri is the Head of the Department of Management Engineering (Industrial Organization) at the Escola Universitària Salesiana de Sarrià (EUSS School of Engineering), affiliated with the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). He holds a Ph.D. in Business from the University of Barcelona (2019) and a Master’s degree in Research in Business (2014) from the same institution. His educational background also includes an undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering with a specialization in Industrial Production, and a degree in Executive Administration with a focus on Strategic Administration.

Dr. Amirbagheri’s research interests lie at the intersection of operations management, sustainability, and decision-making sciences. He specializes in Supply Chain Management, particularly Green Supply Chain and Humanitarian Supply Chain operations. He is also a recognized expert in the application of bibliometric analysis to map scientific trends in environmental sciences and engineering, as well as the use of Ordered Weighted Averaging (OWA) operators as decision-making tools in business and environmental contexts.

In addition to his administrative role, Dr. Amirbagheri teaches advanced quantitative methods for management to engineering students. He is an active researcher with publications in high-impact journals, including Computers & Industrial Engineering, Energy for Sustainable Development, Environment and Behavior, and Clean Technologies and Environmental Policy. His work often explores the evolution of research in sustainability, environmental accounting, and the integration of fuzzy logic in industrial decision-making. He actively collaborates with international researchers from institutions in Chile, Australia, and the United Kingdom.

Dr Shajara Ul-Durar

I'm an academic at University of Sunderland, UK. I'm a recognised expert in Responsible Business and Environmental Management. I'm in the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) Working Group on Climate Change, and Environment Lead for Carbon and Climate Literacy for Pakistan.

I'm a spokesperson for The Carbon Literacy Project and deliver training globally. I have extensive experience leading undergraduate and postgraduate courses at several highly ranked higher education institutions in the UK. I'm the Project Lead for APPSUKF and lead their 37 international projects. I hold memberships of the Higher Education Academy as a Senior Fellow, the Chartered Management Institute as a Chartered Manager (CMgr MCMI), the Chartered Association of Business Schools as a Certified Management and Business Educator (CMBE), Associate Academic CIPD and a member of The British Academy of Management.

I'm an enthusiastic interdisciplinary researcher who seeks to make an impact through my research. I'm experienced in cross-cultural and environmental research. I have won several research grants and projects nationally and internationally. I have been published in high-profile international academic journals, including:

Dr Seyedeh A H TabaghdehiS. Asieh Tabaghdehi is Senior Lecturer in Quantitative Finance at Regents University London. She has a PhD in Economics and Finance from Brunel University London, UK.
Dr Tabaghdehi has developed a wide range of research interests including wealth and asset management, cooperate finance, financial risk management, stock market analysis, financial modelling, arbitrage and market disequilibrium, pricing analysis and regime-switching model using a market efficiency approach, market structure and competition analysis, time-series modelling, stationarity and cointegration properties with exceptional passion about collaborating academic research to a policy audience and corporate decision makers.

She has strong background in data analysis with strong quantitative skills and a willingness to work with large and complex data sets. She is also reviewer of International Journal of Business Performance Management, and Journal of Energy Policy.

Hany Elbardan has a wide research interests range from Accounting, Corporate Governance and Auditing, through to Information Systems and Social Sciences. He has been studying through a chain of related disciplines. He has gained research experience in both quantitative and qualitative research methods across different research areas. He got his PhD in Management Studies at Brunel University in London, UK.  His PhD. thesis is to qualitatively investigate the impact of Information Systems introduction within business organisations on developing a comprehensive internal auditing model to achieve better corporate governance process.

His Masters degree, in Managerial Accounting, quantitatively applied the theory of constraint concepts to improve the cost accounting practices and pricing decisions through focusing on the best use of bottlenecks and the rare resources. His current research interest is to use his mixed research background in business management to enhance different accounting functions within organizations locally and globally. He is interested in looking at behavioural, organisational, and managerial aspects of different accounting functions within various types of organizations.

David Luigi FUSCHI

I am a system engineer by training a project manager by profession and an educator by passion. In time I have acquired several professional certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, AgilePM, CDPM, CMgr, and CEng). I am also active member of a few professional bodies (IEEE and ACM, PMI, IET, INCOSE, ISTE, ISSS, RSA, IIA), several management and advisory boards for charities and corporate as well as STEM Ambassador.

In my career as a project manager and a researcher I have been working on over 100 projects successfully completed (>300 million Euro), rescued 12 projects (>30 million Euro), acquired over 20 projects (>62 million Euro), and assessed over 350 projects for over 12 International/National Research Programs since 1994.

Currently I am Lecturer in Project Management at Coventry University, Deputy Director of Management and Business Academy London, Director at BRIDGING Consulting Ltd and I also have some visiting academic positions in Europe, Asia and South America.

I am delighted to have been able to support the Chartered Management Institute’s mentoring programme for a couple of years now, helping to create some successful mentoring relationships and I hope to be able to do more especially now that I am involved for Coventry University in a CMI accredited module.

Ehsan Zaeri

Ehsan Zaeri is an interdisciplinary researcher with a solid academic foundation in entrepreneurship and a diverse background in tourism marketing, leadership, and cultural studies. He earned his Master’s  degree in Entrepreneurship Management from the University of Tehran, graduating with high distinction.  He later pursued doctoral studies in Entrepreneurship at Griffith University, Australia. His research interests cover a wide range of topics, including tourist behavior, destination branding, digital innovation in SMEs, and the influence of cultural contexts on leadership styles. 


In addition to his academic work, Zaeri is also active in the creative arts as a certified screenwriter, blending research with storytelling across disciplines.
